August 16, 1501
A block of marble remained neglected for twenty-five years, all the while exposed to the elements in the yard of the cathedral workshop.
This was of great concern to the Operai authorities, as such a large piece of marble not only was costly, but also represented a large amount of labour and difficulty in its transportation to Florence, Italy. In 1500, an inventory of the cathedral workshops described the piece as “a certain figure of marble called David, badly blocked out and supine.”
A year later, documents showed that the Operai were determined to find an artist who could take this large piece of marble and turn it into a finished work of art. They ordered the block of stone, which they called The Giant, “raised on its feet” so that a master experienced in this kind of work might examine it and express an opinion.
Though Leonardo da Vinci and others were consulted, it was Michelangelo, only twenty-six years old, who convinced the Operai that he deserved the commission.
On August 16, 1501, Michelangelo was given the official contract to undertake this challenging new task. He began carving the statue early in the morning on Monday, September 13, a month after he was awarded the contract.

It’s like standing before a block of marble with your hammer and chisel and a set of blueprints. You can start chipping away. And you may knock some chunks off. But in the end “David” will not be standing before you; you’re just not skilled enough to make it happen (and neither am I).
Fortunately you do not need the skill of Michelangelo to take internet business tools and sculpt a masterpiece of income.
You can get good at ONE skill and it instantly makes you the master of all the tools above! But without it, all those tools are practically worthless.
This one skill has created more fortunes than any other.
This one skill has transformed more lives than any other.
This one skill has inspired men and woman to place their lives on the line.
This one skill has shaped nations and toppled leaders.
This one skill has created more anchored memories than any other skill.

Please don’t tune me out because of fear or because you think you’re not a speaker. The truth is you are and if you decide to ignore this you’re kissing big, big, big money goodbye.
People hear speaking and they automatically think of standing alone on stage. Filled seats. A podium. A microphone. A projector. Sweaty pits and palms. A dry mouth. Vibrating knees. A frozen mind.

The kind of speaking were people cannot wait to hear you. Where they cannot wait to buy from you. Where the “virtual” crowd invites a guest. The kind of speaking where testimonials pour in because your webinar, podcast, teleseminar, video product, etc was just downright AWESOME.

If you do any kind of audio or video and don’t think that everyone in your market should be listening to you, then you’ve got some real issues to get past. There’s just no way around this. If you want to make REAL money with all these tools your being sold, then you HAVE to communicate with confidence.
You have to design presentations that entertain, educate and equip. It’s not optional.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a free webinar or a 4 week video course, you have got to be able to deliver strong.
Your training/teaching/speaking should be so solid that you look over your notes and say, “Wow! The folks who show up today are lucky. This stuff is GREAT!”
And I am not suggesting for a minute that you become arrogant.
I’m just stating the fact that you owe it to your audience (your customers) to give them only the best.
And if you’re your not a great communicator, you’re not giving them your best… period. Plus, you’re nowhere near the money you could be making.

Insert your favorite product creator or marketer – chances are better than good that you love the way he or she passionately persuades. Love the way they write. Love their products. In other words they know how to communicate in social currency and they convert it to cash when you buy. Don’t you want that to be you?
